  I. He is Our Peace (Ephesians 2:13, 14)

     A. Prophesied/Personified in the Old Testament

          1. Melchizedek-'The King of Salem (Peace)' (Genesis 14:18-20)

          2. Shiloh-'The Peaceful One' (Genesis 49:10)

          3. Prince of Peace-'Ruler of Peace' (Isaiah 9:6)

          4. 'The Chastisement of our Peace was upon Him' (Isaiah 53:5)

          5. 'This Man shall be the Peace' (Micah 5:5)

          6. 'He shall speak Peace unto the Heathen' (Zechariah 9:10)

     B. Proven in the New Testament

          1. Redemption by the Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 1:30; Ephesians 2:13; 1:7)

          2. Reconciliation through the Lord Jesus Christ (II Corinthians 5:19; Ephesians 2:16)

          3. Restoration of our Citizenship by the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:19-22)

 II. He Made Peace (Ephesians 2:15-16)

       A. 'Abolished the Enmity' (v.15; Colossians 1:22)

       B. 'Making One New Man' (v.15; II Corinthians 5:17)

       C. 'Reconciling Both unto God' (v.16)

       D. 'Slaying the Enmity in Himself' (v.16)
